Rossington Main player/manager Lee Holmes has bolstered his squad and backroom staff.

New signing Callum Wiffen made an instant impression on his debut on Tuesday night in the 3-1 win over Knaresborough after scoring the third goal.

He joins from Armthorpe Welfare, while new striker Joe Glover is formerly of Hallam.

The addition to the backroom staff is Phil Blunt, who joins joint assistant Andy Cowe in the dugout.
Blunt is getting back into the game after a period out of football having previously played for the likes of Rossington, Brodsworth, Worksop Town, among others.

Holmes said: “I am personally very happy with the start and especially the new appointment who will add experience to our squad as a player assistant manager role.

“A few more are to be added in next week or so but i feel we have already gave more than a good impression on us.

“We’re are aiming to challenge the top six which we believe is very realistic with this new look squad, management and club set up.”
