Garforth Town’s home clash with Pickering Town was abandoned after torrential rain marred a number of fixtures across Yorkshire.

On what started as a warm and sunny day, a sudden downpour brought the Toolstation NCEL Premier Division encounter to an early finish in the 58th minute with the scores tied at 0-0.

Travelling clubs than had to endure horrendous driving conditions on their way back from matches.

Four Harrogate Railway players were involved in a car crash on the M62 as they headed to North Yorkshire from their 3-1 defeat at Brighouse Town.

The car sustained huge damage, but all four are unharmed.
