Andy Monkhouse and Pontefract Collieries have parted company by mutual consent. The decision ends Monkhouse’s first role in management after seven months in charge. The Rotherham United midfielder had been the successor to Craig Parry. Former Sheffield Wednesday striker Nathan Modest has signed for Pontefract Collieries after a successful trial. Modest played four times for Wednesday in 2008 as a 17-year-old.
